What is cable? Where to use?

It is a structure consisting of conductive and insulating materials that transmit electric current.

There are many types of cables depending on the area of use.

There are categories such as power cables, low current cables and high voltage cables.

The important factor here is the current carrying capacity of the cables, which is determined by the capacity criteria listed in three parts.

Capacities with multiple stranded conductors, insulators in motion, multi-core conductors and single strands open are available.

According to their features, they are divided into groups as copper conductor, bendable, PVC insulated and halogen-free.

The cables are subjected to the necessary tests by giving conformity certificates such as TS (Turkish standards), VDE (German Standards, IEC (International Electricity Commission) and BS (British Standards) according to the standards.

They are divided into two classes as low and high current cables, depending on their use.

Weak Current Cables:

They usually operate at 12V level.

Where to use?

In signaling and communication systems,

Control automation and scada systems,

Marina systems,

and used in Smart home systems.

High Current Cables:

They operate at 220V 50Hz.

Where to use?

In electrical distribution systems,

Aerial and underground transmission lines,

LV distribution panels,

Substations,

Lighting systems,

İndustrial factory,

Power plants,

It is used in electricity production centers.
